Nikki Koval, Associate Creative Director
Hi, I am Nikki Koval the Associate Creative Director for ToeShark Visual Communication. I was born and raised in Las Vegas, attended Bishop Gorman High School and received a B.A. from the University of Nevada, Reno. In Reno, I operated for years as the publication’s editor of the Artemisia, writing copy and designing layouts. After college, I served in Peace Corps and lived in Guatemala where I learned Spanish and managed campaigns that increased hygiene in schools and neighborhoods.
After Peace Corps, I worked for a member of Congress as a District Representative in Southern Nevada. I worked closely with the non-profit and business community serving as a liaison between Las Vegas and Washington D.C. During my job with Congress, I successfully facilitated several public relations projects between the congressional office and community leaders. Additionally, I administered many successful public outreach campaigns, managed town hall meetings and community involvement events. Finally, I drafted several Congressional Records for prominent organizations and members of the community.
In addition to serving as associate creative director for ToeShark Visual Communication, I am also enrolled in a Master’s/PhD program at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. I currently reside in Clark County and care deeply about the area. I understand the specific needs and pace of life that are unique to Southern Nevada.
